Level 1

If you consider the thought of being on a bike alone daunting we offer two choices, either become a passenger on one of our 2 person trikes. this can be compared to being in a taxi. Or try one of our tandems.

Level 2

If you have never been on a bike since you were a young child one of our three wheeled trikes are for you. Cycle Happy will talk you through the basics of cycling, explain the different part of the bike and by the end of the session, which is all outdoors, you will be confident enough to ride short distances on the flat.

You then have the option to even mix up the cycling with a little either brisk walking or slow jogging which we call our Cycle Happy Duathlon

Level 3

For the more confident cyclist why not try one of our standard mountain bikes.  You will conquer level paths and hills both down and also up.

Level 4

For the experience cyclist who is already comfortable on the bike try one of our off road advanced mountain bikes with suspension. The optional time trial at the end of the session brings in an element of competition and is a way of trying to enter the leader board with other riders who Cycle Happy has helped. Nothing dangerous or extreme, just good fun.

Level 5

This involves a full day on recognised Sustrans routes with a guide. It can be done on a one to one basis or part of a group. Sustrans are blessed with providing and managing a safe cycle route network throughout the country, with a lot of these routes on old railway tracks which are safe havens in which to cycle.

In order to provide this service we partner with one of our external partners who provide organised and managed cycle tours throughout the country.

Level 6

This involves a real challenge and we give only 1 example:

The Coast-to-Coast route between Whitehaven and Sunderland. Fully supported, and a real challenge for any cyclist. 140 miles over 3 full days.

In order to provide this service we partner with one of our external partners who provide organised and managed cycle tours throughout the country.
